Did you know that Vaughan is full of Soup-er heroes? Whether you’re team ramen, team pho, or team traditional, our city is overflowing with soup options to fill your tummy and provide you with that warm fuzzy feeling you’ve been longing for this winter. In our two-day itinerary, we’ll guide you around some of the city’s best bowls.

Day One

If you’re looking for a truly authentic Jamaican lunch, then look no further than Orlando’s Restaurant and Grill. Offering a wide variety of meal options that are saturated in the spices and flavours of the Caribbean, Orlando’s soups will excite your taste buds. Goat Head Soup (Mannish Water) is a famous Jamaican soup made from goat meat combined with green bananas, yam, dumplings, hot peppers, herbs, and island seasonings – talk about a delicious bowl! Orlando’s also offers classic bowls such as hearty chicken, beef, and pea soup. Even if you can’t be IN Jamaica, you can experience a spoonful of its warmth from Vaughan.

Orlando's DishAfter a nice stroll through the city or maybe a nice skate at Garnet A. Williams outdoor rink, you’ve probably worked up quite the appetite and deserve a warm-up. Venture over to Song Cook’s Korean Cuisine and enjoy a traditional Korean dining experience. Song’s menu features over ten hearty soup and stew options such as KamJaTang, KimChiChigae, and Seafood NuRoongJiTang. Whether spicy, savoury, or veg-tastic, this establishment has something tasty to fill your cup – pun intended.

Day Two

Kick-start day two of your soup-er travels with a quick lunch at The Vaughan City Grill. Known for its all-day breakfast menu, satisfying meals, and sweet desserts, Vaughan City Grill features a delicious and different soup of the day.

KamJaTang

Our last stop takes you to Vicentina – Vaughan’s award-winning butcher shop. We know what you’re thinking – there’s no soup here! But there IS a wide assortment of high-quality cuts of meat that are perfect for enhancing your homemade soup and chilli recipes. Pick up some premium AAA beef for a satisfying beef stew and/or chilli, or premium fresh sausage for your take on Italian wedding soup. ‘Meat’ you at Vicentina’s!
