Our blog is chock full of great ideas for fun things to see and do in Vaughan. We are always adding new content and updating old posts, but sometimes you might stumble upon something from our vault. If this article has inspired you to hit the road, be sure to double-check that the featured stops in this post are still welcoming visitors.

Since 2004, Eagles Nest Golf Club has been a gem in Vaughan.

Located in Maple, Eagles Nest is an award-winning public golf course designed by Doug Carrick.

Eagles nest“Our course offers the perfect blend of rugged sand dunes, sod wall bunkers, fescue grasses and fickle breezes to make every round truly memorable,” says Ilana Mattacchione, Marketing and Social Media Coordinator. “We offer a unique links-style golf experience.”

Golfers will be happy to know the course is preparing for a spring re-opening, but many may not be aware that Eagles Nest also boasts two fantastic restaurants – and you don’t have to be a golfer to dine there, either.

From gourmet cuisine at lago Restaurant to casual eats at Jim & Garry’s Pub (open Spring 2022), patrons can enjoy delicious meals, an extensive wine collection and breathtaking views of the course, minutes from home.

And for those looking to host an event, the Clubhouse can also accommodate weddings, engagement soirees, bridal showers, corporate meetings and more.

“The pandemic brought on many challenges for us,” says Mattacchione. “Our golf course, restaurants and event spaces were all reduced in capacity or closed.”

Like many other local businesses, Eagles Nest Golf Club shifted their strategies to expand their services including gourmet take-out options from lago, and ready-to-cook Chef’s Table Meal Kits to make dinners at home a little simpler.

Mattacchione is pleased to announce lago Restaurant is currently open and accepting reservations. To learn more about spring golf, as well as the dining options at Eagles Nest, visit their website. – Remove the s from Restaurant
