An award-winning community-led event, the Vaughan International Music Festival (VIMF) is a vibrant and dynamic celebration of music, diversity, and community that serves as a showcase for the rich cultural heritage of Vaughan and the Greater Toronto Area.
The VIMF, established as the 1st International Music Festival in the City of Vaughan and York Region, celebrates diversity, culture and inclusiveness through music. The festival showcases a wide range of musical genres, including pop, hip-hop, rock, classical, jazz and world music, and features performances by both established and emerging artists.
With the goal to support young, local, aspiring artists by providing a platform to showcase talent and gain exposure, the VIMF has created a scholarship program to help provide funding support to young artists.
The Vaughan International Music Festival aims to promote cultural exchange and understanding by bringing together musicians and audiences from different backgrounds and communities. The festival continues to be a major tourist attraction that draws visitors from across the Region and beyond, providing significant economic boosts to Vaughan’s downtown and local businesses.
