“We want to be more than a community tattoo parlour.”
That’s the goal of Ariana Scarcello, owner of Flesh Tattoos in Woodbridge.
Flesh Tattoos has been open since 2016, moving to their new Woodbridge Avenue location in 2017. While the pandemic was difficult for Flesh Tattoos, they used their times of closure to connect with other small businesses in the community.
“The small business community is closely knit in Vaughan,” says Scarcello. “We used the time to do giveaways with other business owners, building more of a social community.”
Flesh Tattoos is recognized in the community for their welcoming and friendly environment, as well as the quality of their work. But their community activism is one to be recognized.
With the holidays around the corner, Flesh Tattoos is, once again, hosting their Toys for Tats Holiday Drive in partnership with York Regional Police. Patrons (and visitors) are encouraged to drop off a non-perishable food or toy which will be donated within the community.
The Toys for Tats Holiday Drive is on until December 14 and all who donate will also receive “Flesh Money” that can be used towards a future service
