“The pandemic has reminded everyone to pause and take care of themselves.”
Daniela Hofmann always stresses the importance of self-care. Her business, Freedom Medi-Spa, helps clients look and feel their best with medical-grade services including Laser Hair Removal, Body Contouring, facials, peels and injectables.
Between multiple lockdowns, changing policies and mask regulations, it was very difficult to treat clients over the last two years.
“It has been challenging to say the least. During the first lockdown we focused on connecting with clients online, until we were able to re-open. We increased our social media presence and launched an online store. We offered curbside delivery and pickup, too.”
But with every re-opening, even with increased policies and protocols, Daniela and her team were thrilled to welcome back clients who they hadn’t seen in months.
“It has been amazing to see faces we’ve been treating for years. Our clients supported us through the entire pandemic, and when we re-opened, they were here.”
Daniela hopes the pandemic has taught people to spend more time on their own self-care and continues to advocate for taking time for one’s self and their own mental health. A local community champion, Daniela is an active member of the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce and supports many local charities and initiatives including the Vaughan Food Bank, Vitanova Foundation and Elspeth Hayworth Centre for Women.
“I’ve never worked harder in my life, but I know it’s helping people. And that’s why we keep pushing.”
