Let The Celebrations Be-Gin!

3 Day Itinerary – A Brewery & Distillery Tour

We may not be experiencing the Canadian summer heat anymore, but that doesn’t mean we can’t indulge in some quality time out and about with friends, enjoying great food, and some of the city’s best drink menus! That’s why for the next three days, we’re going to tour you around some of Vaughan’s breweries, distilleries, and most notable dining establishments that are famous for their liquid gold.

Day One

As much as we’d like to say “‘Let’s get this party started!” first thing in the morning, it’s probably best to start our tour with a brunch fix at Evviva Breakfast and Lunch. Known for its modern twists on classic breakfast menu times, Evviva’s menu is sure to impress any foodie within your group, without neglecting those with a taste for adult beverages. Evviva’s drink menu offers signature brunch drinks like Caesars and mimosas, as well as Spanish coffees for if you need a little pick me up before heading to your next destination.

Our next stop takes us to Last Straw Distillery. This award-winning craft distillery features a number of boozy delights ranging from gin to whiskey; rum to vodka and much more. As Ontario’s smallest production distillery, Last Straw was born out of a love of spirits that continues to evolve year over year. Built by hand from start to finish, and with locally sourced ingredients from Vaughan, this community-focused business is sure to lift your spirits.

Last Staw Darker Side

It’s been a great day, and it’s about to get better with an authentic Korean and Korean-Chinese dinner at Song Cook’s Korean Cuisine. Serving popular meal options such as teriyaki, bulgogi, bibimbap, as well as an assortment of more unique and authentic dishes, Song Cook’s offers a variety of wine and craft beers to compliment the sweet or savoury tastes of Korea.

Day Two

Rise and shine! We’re into day two of our three-day weekend and there is definitely no better way to kickstart your day than with a lovely fall treat from Balzac’s Coffee Roasters. Located in the heart of Kleinburg, Balzac’s offers a unique European experience with its influential interior design, but it’s their classic pumpkin spice selection that will keep you coming back for more.

Up next, before taking a beautiful Fall stroll through downtown Vaughan, treat yourself to a crisp brew from Kensington Brewing Company. As the area’s only craft beer brewery and taproom that offers a range of inventive craft beers, all inspired by diverse flavours, you are sure to find something to satisfy your tastebuds. Enjoy your top pick before heading out for the afternoon.

Following a day of exciting exploration, and before capping your night at the Monte Carlo Inn, enjoy a traditional Italian meal at the Botticelli Ristorante. Specializing in classic Italian entrees such as Zuppa di Pesce, rack of lamb, and veal Pizzaiola Caprese, these savoury meals need to be paired with some eclectic wines such as Amarone, Chianti, or Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. After your meal, be sure to indulge in a nightcap at the bar.

Day Three

With a rather later start to the day, grab a bite and drink for lunch at The Burg: Village Pub. Satisfy your hunger with a juicy burger, grilled salmon tacos, and more. Don’t forget to wash down your meal with a nice, refreshing beer.

Our final stop for the trip will take you to Bevi-Birra where you can pick up a number of craft beers to enjoy at home. Carrying more than 100 unique beers from all across the province that can’t be found at other liquor or grocery stores, this is one trip you certainly have to make.
