“It’s not just skating that you learn,” says Neda, Director at Ice Dreams Skating Academy.
The skating academy, which trains children from 2+ through to adult, was completely shut down during the pandemic, halting all classes and programs.
“The restrictions kept changing,” says Neda, who opened the business nearly 15 years ago, while in university. “Now, we are open with new systems and it’s running smoothly. Our kids were so resilient…I’m emotional just thinking about it.”
Ice Dreams Skating Academy offers learn to skate programs, figure skating, private lessons and a hockey program for skilled players who want extra ice time and instruction. Skaters are grouped by age and level, and Neda says it’s never too late to learn to skate.
“We teach structure, discipline, how to skate, instruction, plus a love of the sport.”
Their next season begins this December.
