For some businesses, the shift to online was easier than others.
For Victoria Ballet Academy in Concord, it was a team effort to move forward.
“Our entire team had to figure out how to teach ballet and dance online,” says Liza Lordski, manager and dance teacher. “We moved forward with virtual learning, and there were challenges. We’re still very much recovering.”
The Victoria Ballet Academy has been in the Vaughan community for 18 years providing high quality dance training for students of all ages. The Academy is active in the community, supporting Culture Days Vaughan, Hospice Vaughan, and prior to the pandemic, was known for quarterly annual live performances.
“I think it would be wonderful if people shop local and support local. We are your neighbours; it’s very important to support and share with your community those businesses who are making where you live a better place.”
