ENDLESS EVENTS FOR EVERYONE
ENJOY INFLUENTIAL CANADIAN ART: TOM THOMSON EXHIBIT AT THE MCMICHAEL
Only recently launched, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection exhibits a collection from Tom Thomson (1877–1917) who is indisputably Canada’s preeminent modern painter, and his catalytic achievement changed the face of Canadian painting forever. This exhibition will offer a close look at Thomson’s legacy, focusing on the small en plein air oil sketch, of which he is the supreme master.
This exhibit has been organized by the McMichael Canadian Art Collection and the National Gallery of Canada.
Need an easy way to get to the gallery? You’re in luck! The McMichael Art Bus is back on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with two stops at St. George Station in Toronto and at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. Available until October 15th. Tickets are first-come, first-served.
LISTEN WHILE YOU STROLL
On Saturdays and Sundays, you can explore the main streets of Kleinburg Village while listening to free live music! Check out fanciful boutique stores, delicious restaurants and bakeries, and even wander along the beautiful William Granger Greenway to soak up the sun and relax in nature.
