The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) is the city’s downtown core, marking the northern end of the Toronto Transit Commission’s Yonge-University subway line. The VMC is more than just the transportation hub of our city – it’s a place where both residents and businesses can thrive.
While visiting the VMC, your days will be filled with so many places to go and things to do. From walking through green spaces, staying at world-class hotels, eating at local restaurants and shopping, one day just isn’t enough! Below you’ll find two optional plans to explore everything the VMC has to offer.
BUCA VAUGHAN
This plan begins with a question. Who loves modern Italian dining that is rooted in the traditions of Italy? The answer: Vaughan does! Buca Vaughan (898 Portage Pkwy.) was born out of a deep reverence for Italy’s rich and varied culinary traditions. They have an unwavering commitment to upholding the highest benchmarks of quality, culture and design. Buca Vaughan exclusively sources the finest seasonally available ingredients from select purveyors and local farmers. The menu features a vast selection of so many wonderful and traditional Italian dishes that you’ll think you’re dining on the coast of the Mediterranean.
DAVE & BUSTERS
Next up is Dave & Busters (120 Interchange Way) – the one and only place where sports enthusiasts, foodies and arcade aficionados can enjoy great food and drink, play hundreds of awesome arcade games while watching their favourite teams on the big screens. It’s a restaurant, bar and arcade all in one! We’re talking multiple wide screens showing a variety of sporting events, a menu featuring a wide array of food and drink specials and a myriad of innovative arcade games and video game classics.
HOKEY POKEY SHOP
If you need more creativity in your life, you need more Hokey Pokey (200 Edgeley Blvd. Unit 16), the resource for artists across almost every discipline. Come here for high-quality face-painting supplies, special effects and theatrical makeup, airbrush supplies, mylar stencils, glitter products and glitter tattoo services and balloon twisting. ST. LOUIS BAR AND GRILL
No matter what plan you have, everyone needs to eat at St. Louis Bar and Grill (90 Edgeley Blvd.) – a casual family-friendly restaurant best known for their delicious wings and ribs. Beyond that, they’ve got salads, handhelds, bowls, pizza, desserts and a kids menu too! There’s a simple mission at St. Louis Bar and Grill and that’s to serve up great wings with excellent service. With 78 locations across the country, they’ve kept their commitment to creating a devilishly good atmosphere with great food and attitude.
AIR RIDERZ
Need a little air time, then bounce on over to AirRiderz (570 Applewood Cres. Unit 3), the only Canadian company bringing trampoline parks to the Greater Toronto Area. With over 26,000 square feet of wall-to-wall trampolines, a one-of-a-kind climb zone, slam dunk trampoline lanes, a dodgeball court, a foam pit and more, this is an amazing, all-ages facility for adventure and fun.
