Fall Festivities in Vaughan

With a crispness in the air and the warm sunshine overhead, autumn is a perfect time to explore Vaughan. If you’re craving outdoor adventures, there are dozens of family-friendly fall festivities lined up in our beautiful city.

Tourism Vaughan has put together your ultimate autumn itinerary to make the most of this colourful season, so be sure to save this blog so you can visit our favourites.

Robintide Farms

Late September through October

Family-owned for more than 50 years in Vaughan, Robintide Farms is a must-visit spot for pick-your-own veggies and farm fresh produce. In the fall, you can enjoy the farm’s pick-your-own pumpkins, corn walk, farm games, farm market and more. Entry fees also include access to their Pumpkin Patch, Pick Your Own Vegetables Field, and Corn Maze.

Robintide Farms welcomes visitors for fall fun from late September until Halloween on Friday, Oct. 31.

Halloween Haunt and Camp Spooky

Weekends starting end of September through October

Canada’s Wonderland is always a main attraction in Vaughan – and rightfully so. In the fall, the park transforms into a Halloween haven, offering activities and thrills for guests of all ages.

Children will enjoy Camp Spooky, which is included with your admission ticket and features trick-or-treating, a kids’ Halloween costume parade, live shows with The PEANUTS gang, meet and greets with Halloween characters, all your favourite rides and much more!

For those who want a terrifying experience, Halloween Haunt returns to Canada’s Wonderland with a sinister transformation, turning the theme park into a scream park filled with Halloween attractions that offer unforgettable thrills and unspeakable chills. Get up close with hundreds of monsters and experience thrilling night rides, live entertainment and eight mazes to get your heart pounding.

Brick-Or-Treat: Monster Party at LEGOLAND

Thursday, Sept. 25th –  Friday, Oct. 31st

Get into the Halloween spirit as LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, as monsters take over and throw a Monster Party you don’t want to miss!

Brew up fun at the Potion Kitchen, a place to create potions of all sorts by combining your building creativity. Plus, enjoy monster-ific activities and an exclusive 4D Halloween movie, The Great Monster Chase, during the family Halloween event. You can even team up witha Monster Model Builder for a special Halloween build!

 

Pumpkin Patch at the Woodbridge Farmers Market

Saturday, Sept. 27

Visit the Woodbridge Farmers Market and check out the Pumpkin Patch, provided by EFT Farms. Take a family photo and be sure to visit the farmers and vendors for fresh fall produce.

Where the Dark Things Dwell at The Village at Black Creek

Select dates from Friday, Sept. 26 – Saturday, Nov. 22

Are you ready to take on the GTA’s largest outdoor escape room? Guided by only your wit and your lanters, do you have what it takes to journey where the dark things dwell? This unique outdoor experience will have you using your brain to escape the ancient evil that stirs in the sleepy village of Black Creek. The escape room is played in teams of four, so find your bravest companions – and head to Where the Dark Things Dwell.

Enchanta Village

Friday, Oct. 3 – Saturday, Oct. 4

For an enchanted fairytale village experience, join the Enchanta Village at The Village at Black Creek, back for its second season. Enjoy a twilight symphony, life-size fantasy art, immersive acts magic and light shows, a night market, dance party with Halloween-inspired music, and so much more!

Screemers

Select dates from Friday, Oct. 10 – Friday, Oct. 31

Coming to Assembly Park in Vaughan, you can live the fear at Screemers! Make your way through seven haunted walk-through mazes like the Halloween Horrors, Carnival of Carnage, Slasher Wax Museum, and more – featuring over 120 live actors. Enjoy unlimited rides on the Midway of Madness, along with a Food Truck Eatery and walk-around entertainers throughout the park area. Ready to get your screams out?!

Fall Colours at Kortright

Select dates from Saturday, Oct. 11 – Sunday, Oct. 26

One of the best places to see the beautiful fall colours in Vaughan is the Kortright Centre for Conservation. With their annual Fall Colours at Kortright event, you can enjoy a self-guided walk in the beautiful mixed hardwood forests to view the fall colours at their best. If you are interested in learning more, join the Kortright Education team to learn about nature in the fall! Or, enjoy the on-site family friendly activities and weather-permitting campfire every day!

Woodbridge Fall Fair

Thanksgiving Weekend (Saturday, Oct. 11 – Monday, Oct. 13)

Take a step back in time at the 177th annual Woodbridge Fall Fair. Held on Thanksgiving Weekend, from Saturday, Oct. 12 to Monday, Oct. 14, at the Woodbridge Fairgrounds, this beloved annual event features carnival rides, local craft vendors, livestock and agricultural competitions. Be sure to check out the Lumberjack Show and Giant Pumpkin Contest!

Kreepy Kortright

Select dates from Friday, Oct. 17 – Sunday, Oct. 26 

If you’re looking for something fun for children 10 and under, Kreepy Kortright is an outdoor event celebrating the Halloween spirit with spooky and scary activities for little ones, happening annually at Kortright Centre for Conservation. Discover a haunted house, a frightening forest walk, Halloween activities, a bonfire and scary stories – all October long!

 

Halloween at the Village

Select dates from Saturday, Oct. 18 – Sunday, Oct. 26

Prepare for eerie excitement with Halloween at The Village this October by taking part in ghastly activities and hair-raising happenings! From grisly experiments during the Slimy Science Show, to trick or treating among the heritage buildings, there’s so much to enjoy! With witchcraft and wizardry and creepy carnival games, there’s family-friendly spine-tingling adventures for kids of all ages.
