It’s no secret that the last year has been challenging – especially for families who’ve been unable to socialize. Now that togetherness is becoming more safe – and since the kiddos are back to school – why not take a weekend to enjoy some fantastic fam jams together? Our two-day itinerary of Vaughan’s best family-friendly attractions and restaurants will help your family unwind and reconnect outside the home.
Day One
We’re jumping right into a day of fun with a visit to world-renowned LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. Located in Vaughan Mills, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre includes 10 LEGO build and play zones, two LEGO-themed rides, a soft play area, a 4D cinema, the World’s Largest LEGO Brick Flag, and let’s not forget the gift shop where you can commemorate your visit with a souvenir! Round up the troops and get ready for a day of indoor entertainment that is sure to wow even the oldest kids in your clan…we’re looking at you mom/dad!
An entire day spent at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is surely going to work up your family’s appetite. Treat them to an authentic Mexican dinner at Ay Caramba, Eh! Serving up some of Mexico’s most iconic and fan-favourite meals, Ay Caramba, Eh’s menu options include nine different types of tacos, as well as nachos, burritos, quesadillas, and more. This is sure to be a dinner they will be thinking about post-fiesta during their next siesta.
After dinner, satisfy the fam’s sweet tooth by taking them to Sugarhill Desserts. This modern dine-in and take-out location offers mouth-watering, hand-crafted desserts and slow batch ice-creams. With a menu loaded with coffees, ice creams, waffles, and so much more, there is no sweeter way to end such a decadent day spent with the fam!
Day Two
You know it wouldn’t be a fabulous fall weekend in Vaughan without a stop at the beautiful Kortright Centre for Conservation! Explore their many trails and see just how beautiful fall can be. You can go for a light stroll, or you can book one of their outdoor guided experiences. There’s no better way to immerse yourself in nature.
Our last stop on our family fun-filled weekend takes you to Song Cook’s Korean Cuisine. Situated a little over 20 minutes outside of Wonderland, Song Cook’s food and unique dining experience makes the journey worth it. Serving authentic Korean and Korean-Chinese cuisine, Song Cook’s is a family-run restaurant that goes out of its way to ensure that all guests are truly immersed in its cultural roots. Come for the noodles, meats, and shareable menu items, and stay for a cultural and dining experience that is second to none.
