A Vegetarian Food Tour
Gone are the days of vegetarians struggling to find a decent menu. More and more restaurants are recognizing different dietary needs, thus expanding their menus with new and exciting dishes that meat-free lovers will delight in. Our three-day itinerary will take you through some of Vaughan’s most renowned vegetarian meal options. Lettuce get this tour started!
Day One:
We can’t start a three-day weekend without a satisfying and energizing breakfast! Vaughan’s premium Vegan restaurant, Evviva, serves breakfast classics with a modern twist, including a number of beyond meat options. Perfect for anyone looking to indulge in traditional eggs benny, veggie-filled omelettes, and more, Evviva’s daily brunch menu is fuel-packed and delicious. Pair your meal with a thirst-quenching mimosa, or try a Spanish or Irish coffee for some added warmth!
For tonight’s dinner, turn up the heat and head down South for some tacos. Without leaving the country, immerse yourself in the explosive flavours and the warm hospitality of Mexico by visiting Ay Caramba Eh! Although this restaurant’s menu isn’t entirely vegetarian, it does include a vast array of veg options that can’t be missed, whether that’s nachos, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, or otherwise. These veggie-packed meals will keep you full well into the evening and leave you longing for a trip down south – we know what we’re taco-ing about here!
Day Two:
Skip your typical morning coffee and head over to Essence Natural for an all-natural cold-pressed juice, smoothie, or plant-based breakfast. Supporting a healthy and clean lifestyle, Essence Natural has meal options to get your early morning juices flowing, gearing you up for an exciting day of exploration. Fuel up and head out – we hear Vaughan Mills is a great place to explore!
As you reach your mid-day sugar crash, check out the delicious treats and drinks found at Sugarhill Desserts. From ice cream to fruit-packed plates to smooth espresso-based drinks, you’re sure to get the mid-day boost needed to carry on exploring (or shopping!).
While we may not be able to whisk you away for a romantic dinner in Italy, we can share the delicate spices and flavours the country has to offer. At That’s Italian, veg lovers will enjoy the Eggplant Parmigiana, Caprese Salad, and Griglia pizza which features a tasty blend of eggplant, roasted red peppers, zucchini, and bocconcini. Made fresh daily with hearty vegetables and other savoury toppings, That’s Italian’s meals will keep your appetite thoroughly satisfied, making you forget all about those winter blues. You know what they say – nothing is impastable in Italy!
Day Three:
Our last day of the tour takes you to The Burg: Village Pub. Serving up some pub classics with a revitalized twist, The Burg has a variety of meal options – but an especially vegetarian-friendly appetizer menu! Switch things up with shareable plates of tomato bruschetta, truffle parmesan fries, soup, or poutine. We can’t deny it; The Burg’s apps are kind of a big dill.
