There’s no better way to bring families together than great food – and that’s why Food Truck’N Fridays needs to be on your itinerary this Labor Day weekend. This popular food truck series found its new home in Vaughan this summer at Assembly Park (80 Interchange Way) and combines food truck eats, artisans and entertainment every Friday throughout the summer. Since 2015, Food Truck’N Fridays has been known for its delicious food and family fun – the perfect way to say goodbye to summer this long weekend!

Assembly Park MRKT
Saturday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Shop ‘til you drop at the Assembly Park MRKT, supporting local farmers, artisans and vendors. With only a few weekends left to enjoy the outdoors, a market like this is a great place to take in the outdoors while spending quality time with the family. MRKT showcases a curated mix of vendors offering full-season opportunities with something for everyone, as well as monthly or single-day options. You may be lucky enough to catch a new discovery on the Labour Day weekend!

Humber River Festival and Frog Race
Sunday, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
If you want a true taste of Vaughan history while supporting a great cause, you must check out the Humber River Festival at the Nort Johnston District Park. In its 29th year of operating, this year’s fundraising efforts will benefit Waves of Changes for Autism. For a day of family fun, including exciting activities, vendors, a DJ and live music – complete with their famous frog race – this event is one you won’t want to miss. Watch as 2,000 frogs race down the river, or participate for your chance to win some great prizes!

Well, your last chance to catch the famous light show in the sky this summer is this weekend! Spend the day enjoying the over 200 attractions at the park and wrap your long weekend with the spectacular fire works display when the park closes.
